Plagiarism and Prior Publication Policy

RECHTSIDEE Journal is committed to maintaining high ethical standards in academic publishing and promoting original, innovative research. To ensure this, we have established a rigorous policy concerning plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and prior publication.

Prior Publication Policy

We welcome submissions from authors and consider them for publication, provided the work has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere. However, RECHTSIDEE does not regard the following as prior publication:

  • Publication in abstract form
  • Publication as an academic thesis
  • Publication as an electronic preprint

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are strictly prohibited. Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work. If they have used the work and/or words of others, it must be properly cited or quoted to reflect its original source. Appropriate acknowledgment of the work of others is a mandatory part of the submission process. Authors should cite any publications that have significantly influenced the reported work.

Maximum total similarity is 20%, and single-source similarity is 5%

Prior Publication and Multiple Submissions

Authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is considered unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Plagiarism Detection Process

To maintain the integrity of the submissions, our editorial team manually checks manuscripts against offline and online databases. We also utilize plagiarism detection software, including Crossref Similarity Check and  Turnitin, to ensure the originality of the content.

We adhere to the Committee on Publication Ethics (C.O.P.E.) guidelines and their flowchart to address instances of plagiarism. For more information, please follow the link.

This Plagiarism and Prior Publication Policy aims to uphold the ethical responsibilities of academic publishing and the quality of articles published in RECHTSIDEE Journal. We appreciate the understanding and compliance of all our contributing authors in this regard.
